Tennis elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) is most commonly a form of overuse tendonitis that can plague the tendon attached to the "outside bump" of the elbow and can radiate pain through the forearm, elbow and sometimes into the hand. Treatment includes improving function of the nerve pathway that begin in the upper spine, proper support to allow rest and healing, stretching and range of motion exercises, and manipulation of the elbow. Physical therapy can also include ultrasound and ice therapies to relieve tension and reduce inflammation.
