What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic is a health discipline that utilizes diagnosis, care, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system primarily the spine. Chiropractic means the practice of working on people with the hands. Chiropractic Physicians examine their patients with a thorough approach to posture, spinal structure, and functional loss. We evaluate the patient’s symptoms and attempt to correct the cause of those symptoms. Not just addressing the symptom as with medications.
Chiropractic care at Etheredge Chiropractic is a hands-on approach to healing the body which involves Chiropractic adjustment (by hand or instrument ), physical therapy modalities, exercise, and diet. Chiropractic physicians analyze through various means including but not limited to X-ray, MRI, Orthopedic, and Neurological testing to the best approach need for care.
Chiropractic Might Be The Answer
A Chiropractor uses specific chiropractic joint manipulations to correct misalignments of spinal vertebra to restore each segment to achieve proper spinal alignment. The Chiropractic adjustment can be done manually using their hands or a device or instrument. The Chiropractic adjustment is based on addressing misalignments within the structures of the musculoskeletal system, called subluxations. These subluxations of the vertebra that make up the spinal column can occur in the neck (cervical), mid back (thoracic), low back (lumbar-sacral-pelvic). If there is a Chiropractic subluxation at any of these levels it can affect the nerves, muscles, and function of the patient.
Chiropractic is considered to be a very safe and conservative form of care for musculoskeletal injuries. Chiropractors help mainly musculoskeletal injuries and imbalances that include neck pain, mid back pain, low back pain, sciatica and other injuries that radiate down the arms or legs, disc injuries, headaches, bursitis, tendonitis, knee pain, shoulder pain and much more!
The most common benefits of chiropractic care are, improved range of motion, decrease in pain, improved healing time, better sleep, better posture, decreased stress and improved athletic performance. Many patients report other benefits such as improved digestion, improvement in asthma symptoms and even getting sick less often.
